I hope this gets posted...
Right, Alex hasn't called me yet, which means he's either got a comic idea and is frantically trying to draw it out, or he's doing mad amounts of homework. Knowing Alex I'm inclined to believe the latter, but only time will tell. I gave Alex and idea for a quick and easy non-stick comic so I hope you all like it. If not, go make your own web comic. The comic itself comes from a comment I heard about our Friday comic "...being in the style of Penny-Arcade". Well, at least we're over the "You're too much like Penny-Arcade" stage, to me the first comment is a compliment!
I finally got a chance to see "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" this weekend. All I can say is that it is such a great movie, I dunno what else to say. If you've seen the movie (and our god) The Boondock Saints you'll like this movie, although I should say that it has less action, but more wit. "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" is the story of four friends who try to get rich by having their friend (who is a card playin god) play in a high stakes poker match. He loses $500,000 to a mobster. He has one week to pay and the four friends have to find a way to get the money. There are about four or five different side plots that ultimately tie in eith the main one. That and the music from the movie rocks! Go see it.
As a public service announcement I'd like to say "Requiem for a dream" is FUCKED-up! If you don't mind being horribly scarred emmotionly for life or are a drug-addict go see it, if not steer clear. If you've seen it you know what I mean...
Well, I still have to watch "Snatch" so I have to "peace-out". Tune in Wednsday where I'll bitch about why I can't play "Deus Ex: The Invisable War" and about not having Ranma season 6 and up. Or not, ya know, I'll think of something... Enjoy!
