Dominos: more fun than a swift kick in the groin...
Right, so Jer from Simian Uprising (check it out, it's good) told us to look in to trying different genres. Although we took most of his advice to heart, we thought about doing another genre and realized we couldn't take it seriously. Sorry Jer. What you see here is a compellation of different genres we might have tried, as you can see we'll always be a comedy strip.
Ok, so I just finished watching LOTR: The Two Towers, on DVD. But more importantly I saw a preview of the special edition. I must own it! Fuck! They do this to me every year, they put out the "normal" movie then I have to wait 2 months to get the special edition! I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG! So naturally I have to buy the "regular" copy to hold me over until the special edition comes out. Oh how I loath them and their marketing strategy. Along with many extras you get a short film made by Shawn Astin (Samwise), entitled, "The long and short of it". I think the only good part was Peter Jackson plays a bus driver, and the fact that they also did a "making of..."
But all in all it's defiantly worth picking up. If only I could remember which store was doing the Golem-card give away...
Well it's late and I have many special features to watch. Also watch for Alex's post, he got F-Zero, so expect info, if you don't get any, bug him! And a reminder, I've been seeing a lot of posts on the forum condemning Jer and Duke and telling them not to talk any more. That doesn't make sense. You see, we have the forum to get info and feed-back, to see what people like and what needs work. Where Duke was just there to bring us down Jer offered us constructive criticism. But all comments are needed, if we just had the forum there for people to say "You guys rock!" it'd be like a company hiring a bunch of yes-men, which would fail miserably. We need to accept all comments good or bad for our comic to grow. Although we also need support!
